By installing a heat pump the investment that you have made into a swimming pool that can only be used for four months of the year under normal conditions can be extended by as long as you like!
The set point (temperature) of the water is achieved by the exchange of heat between gases of different temperatures. The heat is removed from the air and transferred into the water in the pool.

Aquaheat Pool Heater
The system is extremely energy efficient. For every kilowatt of electrical energy the unit consumes the unitwill generate between four and six kilowatts of thermal energy.
The standard of 28°C watrer temperature is therefore achieved and maintained by the heat pump as long as the system and pump are operating.
Operation:
The system will operate to its full potential in ambients above 20 °C and will automatically turn off if the ambient drops below 10 °C.
Control:
A digital controller controls the system. The controller will cycle the unit at the preset temperature, the control will allow the water temperature to drop by 0.2 °C and then turn the unit back on.
The Importance of Accurate Design
Before a floor heating system can be installed into any structure there are a number of essential tasks that will have to be carried out. Below is a summary of the design aspect

The first of these tasks is to evaluate the rate of heat loss from the structure, this is a fairly simple set of calculations that are completed using known and measured parameters.
Surprisingly very few companies do this, and consequently find themselves specifying a floor heating system for a building without knowing what the system has to cope with.
The second task is to take the heat losses for each room or area and determine the amount of floor pipe required to address these losses.
If the heat losses are simply assumed then it follows that the amount of pipe must also be assumed.
...A Holistic Approach.
A third and very important task is to look at the end users requirements and determine from the given information what the control system should consist of, there may be for instance, floor heating, radiator heating and a hot water store all operating from one heat pump. Controls must be able to interact with each other and provide time and temperature control for all the elements of the complete system.
It does not make sense to make assumptions with regards to floor heating, here is a heating system that is buried or embedded in the fabric of the building, every method available should be employed to ensure that it is as accurate as possible.
Benefits
- Complete freedom for internal design
- Low temperature operation, safe for all applications
- Creates a comfort zone exactly where it is required
- All areas totally controllable
- Choice of control systems to suit your budget and your property
- Low running cost
- Unrivalled technical advice and after sales back up
Using warm water as the heat distributor means a safe and clean living environment, no EMF from the floor. The whole floor becomes a large, low temperature radiant surface distributing warmth evenly throughout the room. This even heat distribution provides considerable ongoing energy savings. The room temperature is conveniently controlled by a programmable thermostat.

The AquaHeat low energy heating system is designed to function on the basis of low frequency radiation. This means lower emitting temperatures can be achieved. The acceptable level of the comfort zone is 21 degrees Celsius. Every 1 degree Celsius rise above this temperature is an increase in energy costs of 5% to 6%. |
